Cleanse and Clean
The summer has come. Everyone is out of school and so we have become comfortable around the house. This has also become a time where I have noticed so much more…stuff! Just stuff everywhere. Stuff I had seen and neglected and stuff that seemed to pop up out of nowhere. I thought about buying baskets to put things in until I got a chance to manage them. However, the time to manage may not come anytime soon.
I had been thinking about this for a while. I know that the house needs to be cleaned regularly. I understand that if things are neglected they will pile up. So, I came up with a family cleansing and cleaning plan. I entitled it The A4 Squad Week of Cleasning and Cleaning. Each room has specific tasks that need to be done. And not to overwhelm the family, I have expanded this cleansing/ cleaning time over a 6-day period (on the 7th day, we will take a Sabbath). I set this time approximately two to three weeks ahead to give the entire family time to mentally prepare for the undertaking. I am so excited about this.
I am most excited because the house should be cleansed and not just cleaned. I look forward to the exfoliation of unnecessary papers, unwanted and unimportant mail, and the tossing of junk. I look forward to the fresh smells and manicured beds. I anticipate some feedback but think it will be all worth it once everything is put into the proper place. In addition, I believe this will be a semi-annual ritual. It will also help us to see what we can cleanse from the house on a weekly and monthly basis.
Wait, you want to do this as well? Well, let’s get to it. Look out for the link on how to do this for your family.
